Dinosaur Track Report

Tumbler Ridge resident Rob MacIntyre reported the presence of dinosaur tracks at an industrial site not too far from town.

PRPRC palaeontologists and TRMF volunteers and Board Members visited the locality in late July and were quite pleased to see a large number of track-bearing slabs.

The slabs were documented and the company in charge of the industrial site was contacted to see if any of the specimens could be moved to the museum. As is so often the case, industry was more than happy to lend a hand and they organized the removal and delivery of all the track specimens to the PRPRC's new museum location in the fall of that year.
