Collections

The collections area is the most important part of the P.R.P.R.C., as this is where all fossil specimens are systematically catalogued and stored. All fossils receive a unique accession number which will be linked to a computer and paper file with full information on each specimen.

Usually only 3-10% of any museum's fossil specimens are on display at any one time, the remainder of the fossils are kept in the collections area, but are accessible for study and research by qualified palaeontologists.
